Enabling Natural and Private AI Voice Interaction with Focusound Screen® Technology
Jul. 30, 2026
OpenAI's expansion of ChatGPT Voice to the desktop marks another milestone in AI-powered productivity. Users can now launch tasks, interact with AI agents, interrupt conversations naturally, and manage complex workflows using only their voice. As voice becomes a primary way to interact with AI, the industry is entering the era of Audio User Interface (AUI).
Compared with traditional keyboard and mouse input, voice interaction is faster, more intuitive, and allows users to communicate complete ideas naturally. However, bringing voice AI into real office environments introduces two major challenges: background noise that reduces speech recognition accuracy, and speaker audio that can disturb nearby colleagues or expose private information.
To address these challenges, AI PCs integrated with Audfly's Focusound Screen® technology combine third-generation directional sound with AI-powered voice interaction, delivering a more natural and private user experience.

On the output side, Focusound Screen® transforms the display itself into a directional sound source, projecting audio precisely toward the user while minimizing sound leakage to surrounding areas. Combined with user-position tracking, the sound field can dynamically follow the listener, creating a personalized listening zone for AI responses.
On the input side, the system can be further integrated with Audfly's AI Directional Microphone technology. High-sensitivity microphone arrays and intelligent noise reduction algorithms help isolate the user's voice while suppressing background sounds such as keyboard typing and nearby conversations, enabling more accurate speech recognition even in busy open offices.
By combining directional audio output with intelligent voice pickup, the solution creates a full-duplex voice interaction experience. Users can communicate naturally with AI assistants such as ChatGPT while receiving private audio responses without disrupting others.

As AI agents become increasingly common in workplaces, multiple AI terminals will need to operate simultaneously within shared spaces. Directional sound technology enables independent audio zones, reducing acoustic interference and making large-scale deployment of AI-powered workstations more practical.
As the AUI era continues to evolve, advanced acoustic technologies will play an essential role in enabling natural, efficient, and private AI interactions. Audfly will continue to advance directional audio innovations, supporting AI PCs, intelligent terminals, robotics, self-service kiosks, and other next-generation AI devices with immersive voice interaction experiences.
